"The Twin Cities will host the Republican National Convention in 2008, a state Republican source said this afternoon. Republicans and DFLers both have been angling to host their parties' next national conventions, but Republicans locked up their commitment today and are expected to make the formal announcement later today at the Xcel Energy Centre in St. Paul."
One of my pals plans to schedule her out-of-town vacation during their visit. I say, "Hell, no!" If things are a dismal as they are today I'm all about the protests.
