Friday Evening

Not much news. A week ago we had just landed. Can't top that.

Looking forward to meeting up with folks in Seattle and Victoria in early April. I have a feeling that the next few months will just fly. And, that's great because I can't wait for our trip to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick in July. Can't wait. Did I mention that I can't wait?

I'm thrilled beyond words to have landed and to be one step closer to getting to Canada, but I wish that there was more I could actually be doing! I can't really do much regarding the move, etc. until it's closer. If anything I should be working on the house every day, but can't do that very easily with 6YO under foot. Summer projects, summer projects. Unfortunately, the housing market has really taken a hit. I'm not terribly confident, given the state of affairs in this country, that things will pick up much in the next year either. Oh, well, easy come, easy go...

Well, that's it from sunny Saint Paul where it was 65 degrees today. Hallelujah!

Hi you! Have you listed your house yet?.... Here in Windsor house prices that are for sell are going down, which is good for buyers... CONGRATS again!

Gosh, no. We're not looking to sell until NEXT spring. Even is this market putting it up now would be way too soon. And, yes, prices have gone down which is horrible for we sellers!

Melissa, you might want to do what we did. We found a young couple who fell in love with our house and are willing to wait for us to leave.

We sweetened the deal with lots of things we aren't taking with us like some furniture and outdoor stuff and the "wonder wagon"

Young families need lots of stuff when settling in their first home. It's a win win situation.

Yes, we've had that thought! We've got some work to finish before even informally showing it, tho. We've done tons (e.g., totally new bath, windows, chimneys, appliances...), but currently have no doors on the kitchen cupboards! And, yes, I just said yesterday that I'm going to make a list of the "extras" that stay, e.g., lawn mower, weed wacker, butcher block kitchen cart, as well as some furniture. Since we're four blocks from campus I'll also be making sure any new faculty know about it! I'll keep ya' posted! And, congrats on having taken care of yours!
