How did that happen? Not much news. We're still waiting to move. One building nightmare after another. We're taking a couple of nights at a hotel so that I can get caught up on email and do some work while 7YO watches tv. And, we've had the good fortune to be invited to someone's home for Thanksgiving and then some apple picking. Sounds delightful. P arrives on Thursday. If it hadn't been so ridiculously expensive to have her change her ticket ($1000) she would have been arriving tonight. Earlier in the week I was in meltdown mode. Time marches on. I wish I had the energy to write more.
In all the driving I'm doing - to school, back, on errands, to school, back - I'm listening to the radio a lot and enjoying learning more about politics, etc. Just to give you an idea - our car was purchased in August 1998. Before leaving MN in June of this year, just shy of 10 years old, we had right around 97,000 miles on the car, or an average of less than 10K a year. We put 2,000 miles on moving out here and, since the odometer turned 100,000 on 1 July, we've logged another 7,000 miles. Whoa! Glad to see that gas dropped 8 cents a litre this week!
Hopefully once we get settled I can get back to more regular - and interesting - posting. I'm also missing keeping up with others' blogs. Fingers crossed that within a couple of weeks I'll be writing from our new digs in beautiful Douglas, NB...
