This has been a good, but crazy busy, summer. As such, I've not been posting as much as I would like. And, there's no news on the visa front either. Today is eleven weeks since we mailed our FBI cards and not a word. And, it looks as though it could be 4-6 months before we hear anything from Detroit. Blah, blah, blah. That being the case, it was very exciting to hear that Mason and Nick appear to be on the verge of receiving good news!
I just returned from St. Louis last night and I leave for Montreal on the 25th. The former was a family trip to the annual meeting of the American Association of Law Librarians. The latter is a trip to the LGBT Rights Conference being held in conjunction with the Outgames. I was invited to present on gays and lesbians in the military; specifically, on the connection I assert exists between DADT and sexual harassment. The conference looks to be incredible - a great opportunity to hear from international scholars on issues re: LGBT rights and, of course, a great opportunity to visit Montreal. I've only been there once and I was 10. Expo '67!
This weekend is supposed to be dreadfully hot and dry. We might see a high of 97 on Saturday. Guess I'll just consider it training for our August trip to Tucson.
Well, that's really it. Just thought I should post something... What's new in your world?

Sounds like you will have a wonderful experience at the Montreal conference.
I've been to Montreal twice and thoroughly enjoy the city - FANTASTIC restaurants! I'm sure you will enjoy the city much more than when you were 10!
