Today I went to see "Meet the Robinsons" (G) with 6YO. At one point, when asked where he is from, the main character says, "Canada." "Oh, you must mean North Montana!" responds one of the from-the-future-Robinson family, "No one's called it 'Canada' in years!"
I did some quick looking on-line and, not surprisingly, a number of Canadians didn't find this funny. And, in at least one version marketed outside North America it was changed to something about Austria and Switzerland.
Gotta run - but wanted to post that before I forgot!

Personally, I don't find it funny, either.
Not the image I'd prefer of our future home . . . .
Not at all funny in a real-world context. Very funny in a "G" movie with a spiky hair, time traveling kid hearing it. Really.
Makes we wonder if any Canadians found the red/blue maps with Minnesota becoming part of Canada at all humorous. I loved the idea!
In Brazil the movie references also to "North Montana". In spite of not being canadian, I did not like it. Seems like american egocentric politics...
