Those Wonderful Exceptions!

This semester I've been teaching a course for students who spent last Spring semester abroad. Most of them whine about the reflective work, don't see why it's required, etc. But, as with most classes, every now and again a bright light, an exceptional student, appears. One of the assignments is a project - the parameters are very, very broad - in which the students must share something of their travels with others. They can present to another class on campus, visit an elementary school, write an article for publication, etc.. This year one student did a terrific slide show, one gave a talk to a Philosophy class, another did some mixed-media paintings. But one really impressed me. AEB spent last Spring in Sevilla, Spain and has created a short, 6-8 minute, audio piece from her experience. It is available here. Check it out!

BTW, I hesitated to post this because I would hate for my students to be able to work their way back to this blog, but I just can't resist sharing this. That being said, if you listen and comment, just don't mention who sent you. Thanks!
